About the band
ACCOLADE is a Seattle-based Ethereal Darkwave band founded by classical singer Stefanie Renee and multi-instrumentalist Aaron Goldstein. Their music combines soaring coloratura soprano vocals, described as “a force to be reckoned with”, along with industrial rhythms, Gothic stylings and driving bass. Fans and friends have described them as “Loreena McKennitt meets Nine inch Nails” and their music as “Dead Can Dance, but more electro.” Though prone to experimentation, they always maintain their dark, unique sound and ethereal vocals.
The band was founded in 2006 and launched their career playing venues in the San Francisco Bay Area. They released their debut full-length album in 2012 to favorable reviews in both U.S. and European press. ACCOLADE has had two successful crowdfunding campaigns for their subsequent albums. Their fourth album, Tria Prima, was released in 2021 through the German label Danse Macabre Records. The album made it all the way to #5 on the German Alternative Music Charts (DAC). The band also has had the pleasure of working with Martin Bowes of ATTRITION for mixing and mastering on most of their releases.
ACCOLADE is currently working on their fifth album, and have many surprises in store for you.

The beautiful and angelic timbre of the voice of Stefanie Renée is absolutely brilliant. She feels like a sacred force elevating the global production towards an ultimate climax.”
